The month of April is going to see a lot of smartphone launches in India. Top brands like Realme, Xiaomi, Samsung, Nokia, Oppo, Vivo and Huawei are planning to launch their smartphone in budget and premium categories. Here we have shortlisted some smartphones, which are expected to launch in April 2019.
Realme 3 Pro:
After the launch of Realme 3 in March, now Realme is planning to launch a new smartphone in mid-budget segment, dubbed as Realme 3 Pro. It is expected that, the smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 675 chipset or Snapdragon 710 processor, coupled with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The device will come with a 48MP rear camera like Redmi Note 7 Pro, and it will feature a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The phone will run Android 9.0 Pie, and it will be fueled by 4500mAh battery.
Oppo will launch its upcoming Oppo Reno smartphone series on April 10th in China. Oppo Reno will be available in four color options – Nebula Purple, Pink, Sea Green and Midnight Black. As per rumors, Oppo Reno will come with two different chipsets variants. One is powered by Snapdragon 710 processor, and the other with flagship Snapdragon 855 SoC.
Oppo Reno will come without a notch, and it is expected that the smartphone will have pop-up selfie camera. The smartphone will feature a 6.4-inch Full HD+ display, and it will run Android 9.0 Pie. The device will come with 48MP and 5MP dual camera setup, and it will have a 16MP front camera. The device may come with an in-display fingerprint sensor, and it will be backed by 4064mAh battery with VOOC 2.0 fast charging support.
Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Pro:
At an event in Paris, Huawei launched two new flagship smartphones, called as Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Pro. Now the company will launch both the smartphones in India in April. Both devices will be Amazon exclusive, and a “Notify Me” page has gone live on Amazon India.
The Huawei P30 is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset, paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The smartphone features a 6.1-inch Full HD+ OLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The device comes with a triple rear camera setup, which combines 40MP primary sensor, 16MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and 8MP depth sensor. At front, it has a 32MP super selfie camera. The phone runs Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9.1 on top, and it is backed by 3650mAh battery with Huawei SuperCharge support. The P30 is priced at EUR 799 (Rs 62,000 Approx.)
Huawei P30 Pro features a 6.47-inch FHD+ OLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor with three variants – 8GB/128GB variant is priced at EUR 999 (Rs 77,500 approx.), EUR 1099 (Rs 85,500 approx.) for 8GB/256GB variant and lastly 8GB/512GB storage variant at EUR 1,249 (Rs 97,000 approx). The smartphone comes with a triple camera setup with 40MP primary sensor, a 20MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, 8MP depth sensor and TOF sensor. On the front, the device features a 32MP super selfie camera. The P30 pro runs Android 9.0 Pie, and it is fueled by a 4200mAh battery with 40W SuperCharge support.
Vivo has launched Vivo iQOO in China, and now it is expected that it will launch in India soon. This is a high end smartphone for gamers with a starting price of 2998 Yuan (Rs 32,000 approx.) The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 855 processor, coupled with 6GB/128GB variant, 8GB/128GB storage variant, 8GB/256GB memory and lastly high-end version 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage variant. The device comes with a super liquid cooling, AI turbo, Net Turbo and Game Turbo for lag free gaming performance.
The Vivo iQOO has a triple rear camera setup, with a 12MP primary sensor, a 13MP Sony IMX263 wide-angle sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. At front, it comes with a 12MP selfie camera. The smartphone features 6.41-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and it runs Andriod 9.0 Pie out of box. The device is fueled by a 4000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support.
Samsung Galaxy A40:
Samsung will announce Samsung Galaxy A40 on April 10 at an event in Bangkok, Milan and São Paulo. The smartphone will be available in White, Black, Blue and Coral color options, with a starting price of Euros 249 (approx. Rs 19,500). The device features a 5.9-inch Full HD+ AMOLED Infinity-U display.
The Galaxy A40 is powered by Exynos 7885 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 512GB via microSD card. The smartphone comes with a dual rear camera setup, which combines 16MP primary camera and 5MP ultra-wide-angle sensors. At front it has 25MP selfie camera, and it runs Android 9.0 Pie with Samsung One UI on top. The phone is fueled by a 3100mAh battery with fast charging support.
Samsung Galaxy A90:
The Samsung will be unveiling the Samsung Galaxy A90 on April 10. As per recent leaks, the Galaxy A90 will come with a notch-less design, and it will have pop-up selfie camera. The smartphone will feature a 6.41-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, and it will Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.
The Samsung Galaxy A90 will be powered by latest Exynos 9710 chipset with 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It is expected that the smartphone will be backed by 3610mAh battery, and it may support 25W fast charging.
