Samsung has launched Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit e in India. The new fitness wearables were announced by the company at an event in February 2019. The Galaxy Watch Active comes with competencies like blood pressure monitoring, while the Galaxy Fit bands have the capabilities to analyse sleep and stress.
The Galaxy Watch Active is a redesigned version of the existing Galaxy Watch. It features a dynamic sporty design in a metal casing, silicone straps and a curved glass top. It retains all the features and functionality of the earlier version, although it comes minus the trademark rotating dial.
The Galaxy Watch Active features a 1.1-inch AMOLED display with a 360 x 360 screen resolution, and a Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is built on a 1.15GHz Exynos 9110 Dual core processor, and boots on a Tizen-based Wearable OS 4.0. It packs a 768MB RAM and a storage of 4GB.
Samsung Galaxy Watch Active price in India is Rs. 19,990. It comes in in Black, Silver, Rose Gold and Deep Green colors. It is available on Amazon, Samsung Store, and other retail stores.
The Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit e are conventional fitness bands, with the ability to track user’s sleep and analyse the sleep patterns. Both can track user’s daily fitness activities like walking, running, and biking using sensors like heart rate monitor, accelerometer, and gyroscope. The bands can also receive alerts and messages, and is able to send notifications about events, alarms, and weather alerts. User can also get access to over 90 activities accessible through the Samsung Health app.
The Galaxy Fit features a 0.95-inch full-colour AMOLED display. It comes with 2MB RAM and 32MB ROM, boots on FreeRTOS, and is both Android and iOS compatible. Bluetooth v5.0 is available for connectivity, and the device runs on a 120mAh battery. It specializes in stress tracking, and users can also manage their schedule in new time zones using its dual-clock watch face.
Galaxy Fit e features a 0.74-inch mono PMOLED display with a resolution of 64×128 pixels. The Operating System is FreeRTOS, RAM is 128KB, and Bluetooth v5.0 for connectivity. It is powered by a 70mAh battery.
The Samsung Galaxy Fit price in India is set at Rs. 9,990. It comes in Black and Silver colour options. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy Fit e price in India meanwhile has been fixed at Rs. 2,590, and it comes in Black, White, and Yellow colour variants. Galaxy Fit will be available on Flipkart, Myntra, the Samsung Online Shop, Samsung SmartCafe, and other retail stores from June 25. Pre-bookings for the Galaxy Fit e on Flipkart will start on July 1, and after July 5 release, will be exclusive to the mentioned online stores until July 19.
