After Samsung Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M30, Samsung has launched a new m-series smartphone in India, dubbed as Samsung Galaxy M40. The device is priced at Rs 19,990, and it comes in a single variant of 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The smartphone comes in two color options: Midnight Blue and Seawater Blue. The Galaxy M40 will be exclusively available on Amazon India and Samsung website from 18 June.
Samsung Galaxy M40 comes with a 6.4-inch full HD+ Infinity-O display, with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, 409ppi pixel density and contrast ratio of 1200:1. The phone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 675 chipset along with 612GPU, paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 512GB via microSD card. The Galaxy M40 is the first smartphone that features a Screen Sound technology, without requiring a dedicated earpiece.
The Samsung Galaxy M40 has a triple rear camera setup. It features a 32MP primary lens with AI scene optimizer and f/1.7 aperture, a 5MP depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens with 123 degree field of view. On the front, the punch hole design houses the 16MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. The Galaxy M40 comes with a Widevine L1 certification for streaming HD content.
The Samsung Galaxy M40 is fueled by a 3500mAh battery with 15W fast charging support. It runs Android 9 Pie with Samsung One UI on top. The phone has a rear mounted fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port. The device measures 7.9mm thickness and 168grams of weight.
