Design and Display:

Samsung Galaxy M30 matches up with same RAM and Storage options, though on an octa-core Exynos 7904 chipset. Both the smartphones can easily handle day to day tasks. But Note 7 Pro runs heavy and graphics intensive games more smoothly because of its powerful processor than Samsung M30, which lags a bit in comparison.
Redmi Note 7 Pro runs latest Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10, while the Samsung Galaxy M30 runs older Android 8.1 Oreo with Samsung Experience 9.5 UI on top. Both the smartphones come with heavy bloatware, and had to deal with spammy ads.
Redmi Note 7 pro features a 48MP primary sensor with an f/1.79 aperture, and a 5MP depth sensor. The Samsung Galaxy M30 comes with a triple camera setup, which combines 13MP primary sensor with f/1.9 aperture, 5MP depth sensor and a 5MP ultra wide angle sensor. Both the smartphones can capture decent shots in day light, but the 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor on the note 7 pro outperforms images captured on Samsung M30.
Samsung Galaxy M30 has a 16MP front camera, while the Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with 13MP selfie camera. Selfies taken on both devices were sharp with good amount of detail.
Battery and Connectivity:
Redmi Note 7 Pro is fueled by a 4000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support, while the Samsung Galaxy M30 is backed by a massive 5000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support. Note 7 Pro ships 10W standard charger, while Samsung offers a 15W fast charger in the box.
