Xiaomi launched its much awaited smartphone Redmi Note 7 Pro on February 28th, and it will be available on Flipkart and Xiaomi’s official website from March 13th . The smartphone comes with a premium design, decent cameras and great specifications. It is priced at Rs 13,999 for 4GB variant, and Rs 16,999 for 6GB variant. The device comes in three color variants – Nebula Red, Neptune Blue and Space Black.

Redmi Note 7 Pro Design and Display:

Redmi Note 7 Pro is the upgraded version of Redmi Note 6 Pro, and it comes with great build quality in mid budget segment. The smartphone has glass finish at back with gradient design, which looks premium in this price range. The front and back of the device are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and it is slightly heavier than its previous siblings like Note 6 Pro and Redmi Note 5 Pro. The power button and volume rockers are present on the right side. On the left side, there is a hybrid SIM slot which accepts two SIMs, or one SIM and microSD card. An IR blaster, 3.5mm headphone jack and secondary microphone are present on top, while the speaker grill, primary microphone and USB Type-C port are present at the bottom.

Redmi Note 7 pro bring in a 6.3-inch Full HD+ LCD display with dot notch and 19:5:9 aspect ratio. The display works fine indoors, but you will miss brightness outdoors. This is something which was not expected from Xiaomi. Overall it’s a good and premium display at this price point.

Redmi Note 7 Pro Performance and Specifications:

The Redmi Note 7 Pro is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 675 chipset with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, and it comes with a Hybrid SIM slot. During our review period, we did not find any lag in multi-tasking and app switching, and it runs smoothly in day to day usage. The smartphone runs Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10 on top. The device comes with many preloaded apps like Dailyhunt, Facebook, Amazon, Opera Mini and ShareChat, and you can easily uninstall these apps. The device has a face unlock feature which unlocks the device very fast.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro handles most of the casual games like Temple Run, Subway Surfer and Candy Crush smoothly. We did not find any lag and frame drops with graphic-intense games like PUBG, Real Racing 3 and Asphalt 9 on HD setting. It does get a bit warmer on graphic intensive gaming and 4G data use, but it is acceptable at this price. The smartphone has a rear mounted finger-print sensor which is fast and accurate.

Redmi Note 7 Pro Camera:

Redmi Note 7 Pro features dual rear camera setup of 48MP primary Sony IMX 586 Sensor with f/1.79 aperture, and 5MP secondary depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture. We clicked some shots from rear cameras in various lighting conditions, and we have got amazing results with its 48MP camera. The day light shots came out beautiful with lots of details, while the portrait shots were great with good edge detection. Even in low lights it performs really better than other competitors with less noise. By default, the Redmi Note 7 Pro clicks in 12MP with AI Mode, and 4-in-1 Super Pixel technology. To click with the 48MP resolution, you need to go to the Pro mode.

The smartphone has a 13MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture, which does a great job with good amount of details in day light and artificial lighting condition. However, in low light photos were a bit washed out in nature.

Redmi Note 7 Pro Battery and Connectivity:

Redmi Note 7 Pro is backed by a 4000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 support. We experienced a good battery performance on the device, and it easily lasts for whole day with heavy usage. For connectivity options, it includes dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, USB Type-C port, GPS and 3.5mm audio jack. The smartphone comes with all sensors like Ambient Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, E-compass, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Sony IMX586 Sensor.

Final Words: Redmi Note 7 Pro cane be rated as the best all-rounder smartphone, with premium look, decent cameras and great performance at budget price.
