Redmi K30 Series coming on December 10: Specifications confirmed, New color revealed

Redmi K30 launch date has been fixed as 10th December 2019, and its teasers have been regularly shared in the last few days by Xiaomi. The latest official teaser poster of the reveals the back view of the phone along with a glimpse of the phone in red colour. Additionally, the presence of a side-mounted FP sensor and Snapdragon 730G Soc has been confirmed.

Redmi shared two teasers on the chines site Weibo. The first showed that the Redmi K30 will have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and the second confirmed that it will have 5G support on both SA and NSA networks. A third poster also was shared to conform a Red variant of the upcoming Redmi K30 to come alongside the Lavender we’ve seen in previous teasers.

With Redmi K30, the complete transformation in the phone’s looks tells explains the change in Xiaomi’s design philosophy. From a glitzy gradient finish on the rear panel of K20, the design moves to a relatively restrained finish on the rear panel of K30. The matte finish of the phone was already being teased quite often in the last few days.

Redmi K30 Camera

As per the official posters, Redmi K30 features a rear quad camera set-up in a vertical arrangement. A circular ring, which stands out because of a diverse finish, surrounds the camera module to give a completely different look. There is a 64MP main camera to go along with a 12MP ultrawide and 8MP telephoto. Some more images were revealed last week, where a dual selfie camera module placed on the hole-punch display was also visible.

Just beneath the camera module, we see the dual-LED flash module and a noticeable 5G branding. This is in line to the company’s releases earlier that the Redmi K30 will comes equipped with a dual-mode 5G (SA + NSA) support. Xiaomi will be the first movers in this area, which is expected to set a new benchmark for the user experience.

Redmi K30 Price

The pricing and availability schedule of the Redmi K30 is not announced yet. However, there have been rumours that it could be launched at a price of approx. CNY 2,300, which roughly translates into INR 23,500.

Redmi K30 Specifications

As per the rumours, the Redmi K30 is expected to pack in Android 10 with MIUI 11 on top. Some of its disclosed images hint at the possibility of a 6.66-inch full-HD+ (1080×2400 pixels) display, with 395ppi of pixel density, and 120Hz refresh rate. Also observed was the latest listing on China’s 3C database, which revealed that the Redmi K30 is expected to feature a 30W fast charging support.
