Oppo F11 Pro Review: A premium design phone with great cameras

Oppo is a smartphone company known for its camera qualities. Its Oppo F11 Pro seems to be upholding the company’s USP very well. Oppo F11 pro is a device launched in India in March 2019 for around 23K INR for 64GB storage, and as of now, the device is priced 20,990INR for the same variant.

Oppo F11 Pro Design and Display:

F11 Pro’s Aurora green and Thunder black colour design looks and feels premium in hands. The device rocks a 6.5’ near bezel-less display with a slick and slippery matte body which gives a tinge of premium touch to it, and its curved-glass like back with a weight of 200gm give it a firm hold in palm. On the other hand, the notch is now a thing of the past, hence seeing it on the display wasn’t quite impressive.

Same goes for the use of IPS display instead of an AMOLED, as AMOLED’s are known for providing better contrast and handling dark colors very well. There is no in-Display fingerprint either. The display is nice to look at with high brightness, excellent viewing angles.

Oppo F11 Pro Performance and Specifications:

The device runs on Helio P70 processor (Helio P70 vs Snapdragon 660), which is good for light gaming alongside 6Gigs of RAM. But still, nothing spectacular as playing PUBG Mobile on high settings was locked at 30FPS. There are devices like Redmi Note7 Pro which are low in cost and outperform F11 Pro on this front. The most exciting aspect is the availability of 128GB of storage with options to expand.

Oppo F11 Camera Performance:

One of the things that make Oppo stand apart is their camera performance, which seems to be right in this case too. The device is rocking a 48 MP, half-inch Sony IMX586 sensor. The same sensor also does duty in the Redmi Note 7 Pro and the new flagship OnePlus 7 Pro. It shoots 12MP stills by combining 4 pixels into 1 to give higher quality shots. We got some excellent images in most lighting conditions. For the front, the device features a 16MP popup selfie shooter which is quick to pop up. The selfie shooter does a really great job at shooting selfies.

Oppo F11 Pro Battery and Connectivity:

The Device’ battery had enough juice to get the device going for a day and a half. This is not surprising given its massive 4000mAh capacity, with Oppo’s propriety VOOC fast charging also included. The battery was handling device’s chores like video streaming, web browsing, taking pictures very well whilst leaving enough juice for the standby.

Connectivity options on the Oppo F11 Pro are Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, and Micro-USB with active 4G on both SIM cards. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor.

Final Verdict

The Oppo F11 Pro is a device for someone who likes premium designs with a heavy build. It lags behind in the performance department as there are multiple other options for the gamers in the budget. But its 48MP-5MP shooters can be the deal maker to the photographers and at last 4000mAh is enough battery life for daily activities as well.
