HMD Global is aggressively following up their MWC 2019 launches with a couple of additions to their smartphones range. Nokia has confirmed the launch a new 48 MP camera phone named Nokia X71 at an event on 2nd April 2019. Going by the invites shared by HMD, the product conference in Taiwan will also unveil the upcoming Nokia 9 PureView along with X71.
As per the reports, globally Nokia X71 will be launched as Nokia 8.1 Plus. So, based upon the 8.1 plus leaks, the specifications show that Nokia X71 is set to compete with the mid-range affordable devices of its kind.
The X71 is expected to bring in a triple camera setup. It will be Nokia’s first phone that will flaunt a large display with a punch-hole cutout for the front camera. Another first for Nokia is a 48MP camera coupled with a 120-degree wide-angle sensor, and with a generic depth lens. The cameras are said to be optimized by Zeiss optics and dual LED flash.
The X71 is expected to have a 6.22-inch FHD+ display and a Snapdragon 710 processor. Beyond these, there is not much information available about the other specifications and features of the phone.
