Motorola Mobility, owned by Lenovo, is restarted its flagship G-series with the launch of multiple phones earlier this year. On 25th March, the company announced the launch of Moto G7 and Moto One smartphones in India.
The Moto G7 India launch follows the global launch of G7 series in Brazil, which included Moto G7, Moto G7 Plus, Moto G7 Power and Moto G7 Play smartphones. G7features a glossy exterior with curved edges. It has a 6.24-inch screen, with full-HD+ Max Vision display, a resolution of 1080×2270 pixels, 403ppi pixel density and 19:9 aspect ratio. The phone comes with a water repellent nano-coating and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. It supports Face unlock, and also has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The G7 has a 1.8 GHz 14 nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 octa-core processor. It packs in 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 512GB via microSD card. The phone runs on Android 9 Pie operating system. It is powered by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery with 15W Turbopower charging support.
Moto G7 comes with a 12MP primary rear camera combined with f/1.8 aperture and LED flash. There is a 5MP secondary camera with f/2.2 aperture. There is also an 8MP camera with f/2.2 aperture. The phone dimensions are 157×75.3x8mm, and it carries a weight of 172 grams.
Motorola One is an Android One smartphone, seeing its India launch now after the global launch last year. It has a 5.9-inch HD+ display with a 1520 x 720 pixels resolution and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The device is equipped with a 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 chip, and an Adreno 506 GPU. The phone comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card.
The device has a rear dual camera setup, with a primary 13MP with f/2.0 aperture camera coupled with a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensing camera. It also carries an 8MP front camera at the front for selfies. Moto G7 is fueled by a 3,000mAh battery, supported by TurboPower fast charging.
Motorola One runs on Android 8.1 Oreo, which can be upgraded to Android 9.0 Pie. A splash resistant P2i coating protects Motorola One too. It weighs 162g, and has dimensions of 149.9 x 72.2 x 7.9mm.
The Moto G7 is priced at Rs 16,999 in India. It comes in two colours – Clear White and Ceramic Black. The India price for Motorola One is Rs 13,999. Both the smartphones are available for selling on Flipkart and offline retail stores from March 25th.
