The Taiwanese chipset brand MediaTek has launched Helio P65 chipset. The company claims that the new processor offers a faster gaming experience, improved AI processing performance, and a support for 48-megapixel camera. The new processor will be integrated in new smartphones very soon.
The MediaTek Helio P65 SoC comes with lots of interesting features. The Helio P65 uses a two high performance ARM Cortex-A75 cores clocked at up to 2.0GHz, along with six ARM Cortex-A55 cores for faster day to day tasks and app switching. It features Mali-G52 GPU with a peak frequency of 820MHz. The new processor comes with Mediatek’s own CorePilot resource control system, which offers reliable and consistent gaming performance.
The new Helio P65 processor has brought along the capability to support a single 48MP rear camera, or two 16MP rear sensors. The new SoC also supports host of interesting camera features, such as depth engine for improved bokeh effects, Electronic Image Stabilization, and a Rolling Shutter compensation technology. It has a Camera Control Unit for faster focusing exposure in different lighting conditions. The Helio P65 is loaded with new ISP design for secure and faster facial recognition.
The MediTek Helio P65 processor comes with support for up to 8GB RAM and a maximum 2520 x 1080 pixels screen resolution. The company claims that, the new chipset has most accurate Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and positioning engine. For connectivity options, the Helio P65 comes with a support for dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 5.0 and FM radio.
