Infinix has launched a new entry-level smartphone Infinix Smart 3 Plus with triple rear cameras and water-drop notch. The phone is priced at Rs 6,999 and it is available at Flipkart. The device comes in two colors – Sapphire Cyan and Midnight Black. In this review, we talk about Infinix Smart 3 Plus and how it competes with the other budget smartphones.
Infinix Smart 3 Plus Design and Display:
The Infinix Smart 3 Plus exhibits a glossy finish with polycarbonate plastic at the back, but easily attracts fingerprint and smudges. The phone looks premium with a modest design at budget price. The fingerprint sensor and a triple camera setup are placed at back of the smartphone.
The Infinix Smart 3 Plus has a large display with a water-drop notch as well. The volume rockers and power buttons are placed at the right side. The left side houses the SIM slot, which supports two SIM cards and a microSD card slot. The micro USB port, 3.5mm audio jack and speaker grille are placed at bottom of the phone.
The smartphone features a 6.21-inch HD+ display with 1520 x 720 screen resolution, 2.5D curved glass and 500 nits brightness. While reviewing, the display offered decent viewing angles with great color reproduction in various lighting conditions. The phone felt adequately bright under direct sun light.
Infinix Smart 3 Plus Software and Performance:
The Infinix Smart 3 Plus is powered by a quad-core Helio A22 chip-set with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. We did not find any lag in day to day usage and multi-tasking. For graphic intense gaming, PUBG was playable at the lowest graphics setting, but there were some frame drops and minor lags. This device is not for heavy gamers, but casual games like Temple Run and Subway Surfer run without any lag.
The smartphone runs Android 9.0 Pie with XOS 5.0 on top. It offers lots of customizations like left to right swipe, a landing page which gives you all the information from favorite apps, recent contacts to book an OLA cab or pay money. The Infinix has also added an app drawer feature. A Smart Panel similar to Samsung’s Edge Menu, gives you access to 9 of your favorite apps and 3 shortcuts with just a single swipe.
Infinix Smart 3 Plus Camera:
The Infinix Smart 3 Plus has an AI-enabled triple rear camera setup, featuring a 13MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 2MP depth sensor, and a low light sensor. During our review, we found the rear camera producing some decent shots with lot of details in day light condition, but low light shot was just ok with less detail. But we were left impressed with the portrait shots on this smartphone, which felt very good considering the price of the device.
The phone comes with an 8MP front camera, which produces good selfies in day light condition. But in low light, the camera performance was just satisfactory. The front camera is loaded with features like AR stickers and AI beauty.
Infinix Smart 3 Plus Battery and Connectivity:
The Infinix Smart 3 Plus is fueled by a 3500mAH battery without any fast charging support. The battery easily lasted for an entire day with mixed usage. It has all the required sensors like Gravity, Proximity, Light and Compass sensor. Connectivity options include WiFi, dual-SIM, GPS, GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack, dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0 and micro USB port. The fingerprint sensor and face unlock feature works quite fast considering the price.
If you are looking for a low budget smartphone, then Infinix Smart 3 Plus is a great choice under Rs 7000. It’s great design, powerful battery life, good display, triple card slots and better cameras make it a good budget all-rounder device.
